Boozy Craft Corner

Today i Am introducing you to someone I recently met, Sabrina Grimes, Founder of Boozy Craft Corner. We have been following each other on instagram for a while, her adorable beer centric illustrations and apparel immediately drew me in. We finally met in person at this past flea when she took over The Flamingo Flea’s instagram. Sabrina creates all her own designs and even has an adult coloring book on AMazon.com. She is working to have a digital copy coloring book available during coronavirus so everyone can immediately print out the book and color at home if they dont want to wait for Prime. She has also made all her wall art prints available for a free Digital downtown while we are Staying at home to bring an extra sparkle to our interiors! Lets dive in.

BONUS - During Coronavirus, she is working on sending some coloring book prints to breweries to hand out to guests for free for their to go orders! Let us know who your favorite brewery is and we will send them some coloring sheets. @boozycraftcorner @theflamingoflea

Flamingo Flea:Tell us about your business, what do you do and how do you make it special?

Sabrina Grimes: Boozy Craft Corner is a brand that embraces and celebrates women who love a cold craft beer. I try to keep it special by being as vulnerable and as true to myself as humanly possible. I also love to get to know my community of beer-loving babes since they are really the ones I work so hard for.

FF:How did this business start for you?

SG: The idea started a few years ago probably back in 2017 maybe, with my BFF Hayley we would go to breweries and check out the merch section looking for cute stuff and well we never really found anything. I made it a hobby making cute beer babe tees and this past year I made the leap turning it into a business!

FF:When you are working late night and you’re on a roll, what type of music do you have playing?

SG:I actually love to listen to oldie cartoons when I am working.

FF: We all have To Do lists, but let us know what is on your Ta Da list? What are some of your greatest accomplishments and what are you proud of?

SG:My TaDa list includes my Boozy Craft Corner adult coloring book that is on amazon prime now!

FF: What fears did you have to conquer to get where you are now? Most of us have those negative thoughts that say we cant and shouldn't take a risk or do something different, did you experience anything like that?

SG: I don't have many fears except for alligators and monsters under my bed. Getting to where I am now required a lot "just do it Sabrina" thoughts or no thoughts at all (haha). I know nothing will ever be perfect, nothing will ever be liked by everyone and sometimes it might fail but those aren't my fears because I know it's just more facts than fear and it's okay. Taking risks are actually the most empowering part about owning a small business is understanding those risks and not being afraid of them and just saying whatever im doing it! My loved ones think I'm crazy and they probably wish I thought more things out and stop risking so much. Although I cant I am just one of those people who as soon as an idea comes into my head I start reaching for it IRL.

FF: Where do you get the most work done? Your living room? Coffee shop? In bed? bar? Let us know your perfect setting for productivity. (I cant stand a wobbly table!!)

SG: My productivity space is actually my bed. yes, I know its not good for me but when I started I was a flight attendant who lived in a studio apartment in south Florida. I never had much more than a bed or the floor to work on. Hopefully, I will break the bad habit but currently, I am typing on my bed so I guess I won't start today.

FF:Tell us about a lesson you've learned along the way.

SG: A lesson I've learned along the way is that none of the lessons you will learn are easy and they never stop coming even when you least expect to learn one.

FF: Do you have another project you are working on or upcoming?

SG: I also create custom GIFs for companies and special occasions and I have a tarot card project that I am working on, follow me to keep up to date (@boozycraftcorner)

FF: Oh yeah! I have used your GIFs before, check them out by searching BOOZY in IG GIFs

FF: Who is your inspiration and/or role model?

SG: I do not have any specific role model, I have just been inspired by every single woman who has ever come before me, breaking all the ceilings I have been able to go through so easy because of them.

FF: Where do you hope this journey takes you?

SG: I hope this journey takes me to a place where I can own my own bar or brewery or both, who knows.

FF: What is your favorite book or quote?

SG: "Do it from love not for love"
